Hoa Mai Lumpia Knock-offs

It's almost impossible to imitate Hoa Mai's lumpia and damn near hopeless to find any restaurant in Vegas that serves lumpia of that size, along with the veg.s and noodles (free of charge). My attempt was close, but honestly, you can't duplicate that kind of perfection.

The delight of once again being home...

Usually I stay away from explanations for pieces I've done and leave it up for individual interpretation.

But I guess a small symbolism list wouldn't hurt.

tiger - Protector of the dead.

elephant - Ability to deal with any obstacle.

goldfinch - Victory over death.

blackbird - Sin.

lighting - God's vengeance.

scales - Unbalance.

wreath of bay leaves - Death.

black - Sorrow.

red - Love.

grey - Repentance.
